the back story... (pun intended)!

A spine... it's important right? Well, mine has had problems for quite some time (I'm actually lucky because it could be much, much worse!). I kept telling myself "oh, it's just the way I'm sleeping" or "hmm, must be because I sat too long in a car" and things like that. After going to the chiropractor a few times over the past couple years, I decided to get serious about it yesterday.

Back story: I've had pain in my lower back that comes and goes for quite some time. I also get headaches about every other day that usually last upwards of 10-12 hours.

This time, I really am glad I went.

I had my appointment yesterday with Dr. Brad Uthoff, who by the way is GREAT and I highly recommend him if you're in the Amana area, and he recommended we do x-rays. I wasn't sure at first but figured why not, I want to get this figured out.

Dr. Brad knows I am moving to Davenport tomorrow and wanted to do all he could to get this resolved before I leave - bless his heart (he's also a Palmer grad so he's quite familiar with the QC area)! The office opens at 3:00 today but he wanted to see me at 2:00 just to make sure we had enough time for him to go over what he saw and to assure enough time for me to ask any questions. After seeing the x-ray, it all makes sense why I always was in pain!

It looks like an "S" is all I have to say about that. The picture to the left isn't my spine but looks pretty similar. I didn't feel like taking the time to scan my actual x-rays and putting them on the computer, sorry!

So as I start my journey in Davenport, I also get to start my journey with a scheduled/strict chiropractic regimen to get me all straightened out. He also recommends yoga. To those of you who know me, you know I'm not a big fan, so I may just start with the at-home exercises!

On that note, here's to hoping I'm not a hunchback by the time I'm 30, and it's time to do more packing! :)

  1. I am interested in your actual x-ray! Well, by me, I mean my other half, the chiropractor half of me.
