This week has been full of laughs, fun and chore lists for Jason. Now that he's all moved in my closet has shrunk and my favorite couch spot has been stolen. But all in all, I suppose it's alright!
So Monday was obviously a great day. I came home for lunch and found Jason waiting for me at the apartment. It was rough going back to work the rest of the afternoon; especially when I kept getting texts like: "Where is the trash can?" "Do you have disinfecting wipes?" "Where should I put my kitchen stuff?" - Haha.
That night we had to go to Target to pick up a few things and it took all of our might to not stop for ice cream. It was very hard. But we did it.
Yesterday Jason was home all day while I went to work and he got more things put away. It's starting to come together more. We also finally go to do the photo wall in the living room, which I love! The neighbors weren't too fond of us hammering nails into the wall for an hour... as we found out when they pounded on our wall.
On another note, we finished it this afternoon while most people were at work. I did some DIY in creating the fun letters (tutorial soon) and I love our clock. So sleek and lovely. The saying is from this beautiful Etsy shop. They're closed now for the holidays but they have so much cute stuff. Without further ado, HERE IS THE WALL:
Please ignore the one empty picture frame.... still working on finding one more.
Tonight was so great. I had a last minute meeting with QCESC (Quad City Engineering and Science Council) and I learned quite a bit and met some great people that can hopefully partner with Girl Scouts in the future to teach girls about STEM. Exciting!
I came home to Kayleigh being at my apartment, which is always nice! Jason and I made dinner and Kayleigh brought the appetizer and dessert. I made homemade sesame chicken - I must say, it might be better than HyChi. Jason made fried rice and Kayleigh brought crab rangoons.
It was a yummy Chinese night! And of course we finished out the night playing a game of Sorry that Jason and I bought at Black Friday for $5. Kids at heart.
I'm so ready for this week to be over so I can get the whole next week off to spend with Jason's family and mine. Big plans! And my lovely cousin is doing my nails on Sunday and I cannot wait! It's been a while since I've had that shellac thing going on.
I'll try and update more as Christmas rolls near but I'm also getting busier and busier, so who knows. No promises. :)
